The Central Florida Mineral and Gem Society was founded in 1961 educational Non-Profit corporation. The Society is dedicated to teaching and spreading the knowledge of minerals, fossils, and lapidary skills to adults, and children. Veterans are welcome. We also help Scouts work on Geology merit badges and give demonstrations at schools. No officer or Instructor is paid for their time. All income is from the Mineral and Gem shows we sponsor, workshop fees, and donations which are used to pay rent, utilities, and maintenance cost, but sometimes it isn’t enough. That is why we ask that you consider becoming a sponsor of our Society. We dream of owning our own building so that we can have a museum and store as well as the workshop.
As a 501(c)3 corporation all donations are tax deductible. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or come visit our workshop. We are open to the public.
